Birding is a great way to relax and be one with nature and north India has several venues for nature lovers and avid bird watchers. Whether you go on a birding spree amidst the varied landscape or in the multiple protected areas, you will certainly see many migratory and local birds flocking from all directions in our 15N/16D tour. A Trip to India will guide you to supreme place where chances of witnessing various birds are at its highest. In this tour package, we will take you for a short trip to Okhla barrage for birding. Later, to the Corbett National Park where, you can sightsee various birds at the Dhikala and Jhirna zone. For further bird action, a tour to the Sal forests Corbett falls and a trek across the Ramganga River will be done. This tour will also take you to Pangot for birding as well as Mathura and Chambal. Finally summing up the birding tour at Bharatpur, Keoladeo Ghana National Park.


  • Day 1 - Arrive Delhi
  • On arrival in Delhi, you will meet our representative at the airport. After, you will be transferred to the hotel followed by an overnight stay.

  • Day 2 - Delhi - Corbett
  • After breakfast, you will be taken to the Okhla barrage in Delhi for bird watching. Later, you will be driven to Corbett National Park. On arrival, you can check in at the selected hotel at the main tourist complex, Dhikala. (On your way to Corbett, you will en route a region where you will see several species of birds and other wildlife).

  • Day 3 - Dhikala Forest Lodge
  • On day 3, you can visit the grasslands, Sal forests of Corbett for birding. Later, you can go for a trek across the Ramganga River where you can sight birds such as waders, lapwings, mergansers, waterfowl. You may also sight other birds such as purple and crimson sunbird, jungle owlet, long-tailed nightjar, common stonechat, black francolin, golden-fronted and orange-bellied leafbird, spot-bellied owl, black-shouldered kite, chestnut-tailed starling, hen harrier, changeable hawk-eagle etc.

  • Day 4 - Corbett National Park
  • In the morning, you can go for a jeep ride through the interior part of the forests. Later, return to the resort for breakfast followed by a tour to the watchtower after lunch. After, you can check out and leave for Kumeria, on arrival, you can check in at hotel Den. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel will follow.

  • Day 5 - Corbett National Park
  • The morning of day 5, you can explore the nearby areas around the resort and in the afternoon you will be driven to Jhirna zone for birding. Later, return for dinner and overnight stay in the Den.
    ,br> In Jhirna zone expect to sight birds like little and spotted forktail, black bulbul, brown-eared bulbul, crested laughing thrush, brown fish owl, yellow-bellied and white-browed fantail etc.

  • Day 6 - Corbett National Park - Pangot
  • Early morning, you will be driven to Corbett Falls (en-route at Dabka causeway to catch a glimpse of ashy crowned sparrow lark). After birding at Corbett Falls, you can proceed to Pangot and on arrival lunch will be provided. Enjoy the rest of the day sightseeing the surrounding area and catch a glimpse of some birds such as greater yellownape, scaly-breasted, speckled piculet etc. Spend the night in a cottage at Jungle Lore Birding Lodge.

  • Day 7 - Pangot
  • On day 7, you will be taken for a full day birding at Kilbury, Cheena Peak and Timla Pani. After the sighting, dinner and overnight stay at Jungle Lore Birding Lodge.

  • Day 8 - Pangot
  • On day 8, you will be taken for birding at Pangot village, Baggar and Gughu Khan. Later, overnight stay at the lodge.

    Here, you can sightsee birds like mountain hawk-eagle, serpent-eagle, woodpeckers such as brown-fronted, stripe-breasted, rufous-bellied etc. Thrushes such as dark-throated, mistle can also be seen as well as Tickell's leaf-warbler, greenish, grey-hooded and golden-spectacled.

  • Day 9 - Pangot
  • Spend another day for birding at Pangot followed by an overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Day 10 - Pangot - Lal Kuan
  • In the morning, go and explore the locality of Pangot as long you want to. There are possibilities of witnessing birds like chestnut-headed tesia, red-breasted accentor, blue-throated barbet, greater & lesser yellow-naped woodpecker, black bulbul, rufous-chinned laughing thrush, dark-throated thrush in this area. By the afternoon leave for Lal Kuan to board the overnight train for Mathura.

  • Day 11 - Mathura - National Chambal Sanctuary – Agra
  • Early morning after you arrive at Mathura, you will be transferred to Chambal. On arrival, enjoy a boat ride with a guide to see flock of migratory waterfowl, black-bellied tern, Indian skimmer, cranes such as sarus and demoiselle. You may also see turtles, marsh mugger, various species of crocodiles like fish-eating crocodile and dolphins etc. You can spend the evening by the river followed by an overnight at Chambal Safari Lodge or you can also return to Agra by sundown.

  • Day 12 - Agra - Bharatpur (Keoladeo National Park)
  • In the morning, you will leave for the Taj Mahal for sightseeing and after a drive to Bharatpur. Upon arrival you can go for birding in the wetlands of Bharatpur. Overnight stay at the hotel will follow.

  • Day 13 - Bharatpur ( Keoladeo National Park)
  • You will be taken to spend a full day for bird watching in Keoladeo Ghana National Park. You have two options, either explore the park on foot or by cycle rickshaws with a birding guide.

  • Day 14 - Bharatpur (Keoladeo National Park)
  • You can spend another day birding at Keoladeo Ghana National Park.

  • Day 15 - Bharatpur (Keoladeo National Park)
  • You can go for a photography activity and observe the different species of migratory birds flocking around.

  • Day 16 - Bharatpur - Delhi
  • In the morning, you can explore the sanctuary and after lunch, you will be driven to Delhi’s International Airport to board the flight for your onward destination.
